Rupee Firms 54 Paise: USD/INR Slips to 95.10, Boosting MCX Precious Metals

Source: BhaavBrief Flash Monitor

USD/INR has dropped 0.57% from 95.64 to 95.10 since the previous close, marking a meaningful rupee appreciation. The mechanical driver is a broad dollar softening that coincides with a sharp COMEX Gold surge of 3.03% to $4,214.2 per oz and COMEX Silver jumping 4.38% to $66.69 per oz. A stronger rupee partially offsets dollar-denominated gains for MCX contracts, yet MCX Gold still advanced 0.72% to ₹1,50,000 per 10g and MCX Silver rose 0.85% to ₹2,41,700 per kg, indicating that the underlying dollar commodity rally is overriding the currency headwind. MCX Crude slid 1.62% to ₹8,209, compounded by WTI falling 1.15% to $86.70. No prior USD/INR flash exists to extend or reverse. Watch: ₹94.80 — a break below this level would accelerate rupee gains and add further pressure on MCX import-sensitive commodities.
