MCX Gold Drops ₹3,199 in a Session, Breaks Below ₹1.50 Lakh Mark

Source: BhaavBrief Flash Monitor

MCX Gold collapsed 2.10% from its previous close of ₹1,52,443 to ₹1,49,244 per 10g by 08:09 pm IST on 10 June, slipping under the psychologically significant ₹1,50,000 level. The primary mechanical driver is a sharp COMEX Gold decline of 1.77%, with spot settling at $4,184.7 per oz versus the prior close of $4,260. A modest rupee strengthening — USDINR easing to 95.40 from 95.69 — further compressed the INR-denominated price, as a firmer rupee reduces the imported value of dollar-priced bullion. MCX Silver and Copper showed comparatively mild losses, suggesting the pressure is concentrated in gold. Watch: ₹1,47,800 as the next key support level to monitor on the downside.
